I needed a way to temporarily mount our Vtech Baby Monitor Camera while our young one is in a bassinet next to our bed. I wanted some sort of adjustable stand, but anything babyis super expensive. So I came up with an adapter that attaches the camera wall mount to the standard threads (5/8"-27 in the US) on a cheap microphone stand.
If you buy a microphone stand to make this, double check that the threads will work with my adapter (especially outside the USA). My understanding is that there is not international standard, and 5/8"-27 thread happens to be the common convention in the US. I've attached the fusion 360 files, so hopefully it will be trivial to adapt if for a different thread.

So far it seems secure and is working very well for us. But of course, use at your own risk. I make no guarantees of safety. You probably shouldn't have it directly over your infant. Make sure it is secure, and the stand isn't going to fall over. Again, I accept no liability for anything that happens if you decide to try this. I'm not a professional engineer or designer. Just some random guy on the internet, so use entirely at your own risk.
