The puzzle consists of five printed parts, and a few coins. I've designed wheels that use 2 one cent coins (USD and EU). I've included a blank wheel without a cutout that you could add whatever coin type you'd like.
I feel that once you can see the mechanism, you can pretty easily see how it works. When closed, and on a level surface, the coins hold the wheel in a position that blocks the lid from opening. To unlock the box, you must tilt the box right, slide the lid a bit to hold the wheel in position. Then do this again tilting left (Be sure the lid isn't too far back, preventing the second wheel from rotating).
I recommend orienting the wheels so the coins are facing away from each other, allowing smoother rotations.
This box is nice as a puzzle, but also a gift box, or a low security stash box.
I designed these files, and initially posted them on MyMiniFactory.
