Description

PDF

This coupler is used to connect a piece of PTFE tube to the feeder, and have it go through a hole in the filament hatch, in order to use external filament holders with the hatch closed.

I use it with the 1kg spool holder for monoprice voxel by Ryoichi Kato and a filament guide.

It is a remix of the External Filament Mod - Flashforge Adventurer 3 Coupler V3 by Albert Soler, with the following changes:

  • Made flat parts thicker to make it more rigid.
  • Added an insert ring to keep it form moving.
  • Added screw connector for the PTFE tube.

The screw connectors are from the Locking bowden connector by Nicholas Christopoulos.

The External Filament Mod - Flashforge Adventurer 3 also includes a useful guide for drilling a hole through the hatch.

Different printer versions

There are newer version of the printer that this coupler doesn't fit.
If you have such a version, maybe the External Filament Mod for Flashforge New Adventurer 3 and Lite by Shinobu Takahashi will work instead.
