Decided to make a new dice-box with magnetic lids & a multicolor Harpers logo (my character is part of them).
Things to note:
- Getting the first layer to stick properly might require a few attempts. Depends on filament as well!
- Uses 8x3mm round neodymium magnets, available in plenty from Amazon. Lids stay together nice and strong!
- Magnets might be a bit snug. On my MK3S (& with this filament), the tolerances were JUST right for a friction fit, but some super glue is recommended.
- Photo's taken are from a prototype which still has some mistakes in it. Digital pictures for reference for the current version.
- Included are .gcode, .step, .f3d, .stl & .3mf files. Credit goes to @Adnub2510 for the multi-material settings.
- The logo is 0.6mm in height, exactly right for 2x0.3mm layers or 3x0.2mm layers.
- Haven't gotten it to work on Octoprint properly (yet).
