Dragon Curve Fractal Iterations

I've been a fan of the dragon fractal since I read Jurassic Park, which had images of the fractal getting more complex in chapter headers. I saw an animation once of the dragon curve evolving smoothly from stage to stage and thought it would be cool to express that in a 3d model where the iterations were smoothly interpolated through 3d space.
