I had an old zenergy chime lying around the house, and thought to turn it into a doorbell.
The assembly uses a TT Geared Motor, and a 5mm bent metal rod, connected with some metal wire, to oscillate the arm and hit the chime multiple times.
BOM:
1 x zenergy chime
1 x TT geared motor (I used a 1:120 gear ratio)
1 x 5mm metal tube
1 x arduino or other microcontroller + motor driver
1 x 4mm metal rod for the pivot of the arm
