Modular "Pipe" Battery-Pack for 4, 6, 8.. or more AA Cells

This is a very compact modular battery pack which fits into a 32mm plastic (electro installation) pipe. It is devided into segments which can be added to a pack of 4, 6, 8... or even more AA-batteries. It is great for building lightweight, compact and tough battery packs. With watertight pipe plugs it can be used for outdoor and underwater equipment.

The single segments will be fixed on a M3 threaded rod which makes the construction simple but strong.

The pack was originally designed for a DIY metal detector https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2478864, avoiding an additional housing for the battery.

The inside diameter of the pipe must be somewhat 29 mm.

You will need:

• printed parts
• battery connectors (common type, can be found in several electronic shops)
• M3 threaded rod, about 1,5cm longer than your plastic parts
• 4x M3 nuts
• packing cord or a cable tie which will act as removal sling
