Is there a way to mount the 60x60 fan onto the cover of the elegoo mars 5 I would like to put the fan onto the cover and then attach the hose to it is that possible with these designs ? If not would it be possible to make an adapter so that that the fan can connect to the predrilled holes on the cover
can you make a flex pipe option 3 version for 2.5in diameter hose
what do you use to filter the voc? Only the fan and housing does nothing
@hydrocanniba_1723222 I think it's because sometimes you can't vent outside, so the next best would be to filter the air and let it back out when the alternative is to just let it all vent into the room.
I'm looking at setting up a 3 stage filter (like for laser cutters or solder fume extraction) but at a much lower speed since I don't need to suck up all of the fumes constantly like a normal extractor. I just need to filter out all of the air in the chamber a few times per hour and just before I open it up to pull things out. And a cotton/HEPA/activated carbon filter pass will get most of the worst things out of the air. Probably it will end up being just a project box or other small plastic box with some 3d printed guides for the stacked filters, silicone around the guides to get most of the air to go through rather than around, an extra in-line fan to assist the air flow, and some plastic vacuum tube from this connector to the box (possibly this connector on both sides, just to make it simple and easy). Or just get a $300 fume filter with a similar sized nozzle to the bit on the end of this adapter.
Obviously if I had an outside vent it would be better, although some people might still want to put an activated charcoal filter in-line to prevent the worst stuff from just being pumped outside, especially if their children play in the yard near the vent point.
As it is, I print resin in a shower that we don't use in the bathroom off my office, with a bathroom fan venting into my roof space. Whatever the filter fails to clear out will still get removed over time, but adding a filter would give it a good push in the right direction.
@DracusMage_2038611 wow so creative!
