This would be awesome if the pieces could fit side by side to make the skadis continuous. Probably an easy change to make but just a suggestion. As is, it can't utilize wider skadis models even when multiple adapters are printed. Maybe just shaving the side excess so the adapters can fit next to each other. It would also be awesome to have them fit top and bottom to truly make them modular. This is the only model I could find like this, a couple small changes would make it perfect! (edited)
@kwfredeen Do you think this might work as a possible solution? Having 2 STL files that alternate back and fourth between each other when placed side by side. So the first could be similar to your first design (but with shorter edges to allow the next one to be placed closer) and then the second one would be an offset piece to correct and reset the positioning for piece number 3, which would be a repeat of piece #1. Hopefully that makes sense, not sure if it would actually work or if I'm missing something in my brainstorming 🙃. Would love to see this be modular and I feel like tons of people could utilize it!
@Luxendal_657466 If you started a 25.4mm grid and a 40mm grid at the same spot, they wouldn't line up perfectly again until you have about a 5m long grid. Any repeating pattern smaller than that will cause the skadis grid to be more and more out of alignment with every tile added.
That 5m (5080mm to be exact) is the smallest "tile" size that can be repeated without misaligning the skadis grid when you add more tiles.
I've been using this to test-fit pieces on my "regular" pegboard before attaching them to my skadis and it's been great so far. Thanks!
