Because I liked the battery crates from https://www.printables.com/de/model/173788-customizable-stackable-beer-crate-for-all-types-of a lot but wished for a couple of modifications, I started redesigning them.

My redesigne includes:

  • Realisation of the scale 1:5.5
  • More solid and easier to print crates by adding 60° bevels to reduce overhang problems
  • Adding a ½ europalette, oriented on industrial plastic ½ europalettes, as a main-feature of my assembly
  • Form-fitting stackability with a waistband at the top and bottom of the crates and the top of the europalette
  • Adding my desert-fox-logo and PLA Recycling symbol

The prints are tested and optimized for the following parameters:

  • 0.4 mm nozzle
  • 0.2 layer height
  • 13 % gyroid infill
  • 3 perimeters
  • 5 bottom and top layers
  • PLA
  • Support for the crates (supports only on printbed) is needed for the overhangs.

To assemble the two feets into the europalette you need following additional parts:

  • 6x M3x16 A2 screws

Alternatively you could glue it I guess.

If you are printing one, I would be happy to see a make :-).

Edit 17.09.2022: I added an europalette-base-version with Ø2.85 mm holes which should come out printed a little bit smaller like Ø2.75 mm to be able to directly screwing the screws into the material. Make sure to have 3 perimeters for a good hold.

Edit 24.09.2022: I removed the europalette thread-insert version because of redundancy.

Edit 29.11.2022: Added Information for the needed supports for the crates (supports only on printbed)
