Idea

Create a faucet so it can be easily attached and deattached so I can easily connect my garden hose to the tap in the house.

Why

In the summer I use heated water from my solar panels to fill the swimming pool (when it's very sunny I have to get rid of the hot water because it reaches 80°C).
The most convinent way of doing so is to attach my garden hose to the tap in the house.

But it requires dismounting the orginal faucet. So I replaced it with this design.

Printing remarks

Use PETG or something stronger, print with 3 perimeters and 30% grid infill (similar to profile for printing parts for your 3D Printer).

Assembly

I printed only the bigger part and pressed the hose in then secured it with zipties (the smaller part is not necessary). Try to place the quick connect as close to 3D printed part as possible. Optional print the faucet aerator, screw the aerator in and secure it with a hose clamp.

  • Faucet aerator (M24x1 size) - optional
  • Metal hose clamp - optional

Tools
  • Knife to cut the hose and zipties
