7.6 inch LOC Precision Avionics Bay Bulkhead

7.6-inch LOC Precision Avionics Bay Bulkhead.  I design my parts to be replaceable as much as I can.  So, nothing is glued on my AV bays.  I use lock nuts and lock washers instead.

Components I use:

• 4-40 threaded rods for the e-match terminals
  • To prevent shorting (quick link, etc. could fall across the terminals) out the terminals cover them with tape or use my 3D prints nuts made for this.

  • Also need 4-40 nuts to hold the 4-40 threaded rods in place.

• ¼-20 Lock Nuts/nuts/wing nuts
• Lock washers and fender washers

  • All of my bulkheads use the same male connectors.  AV sled uses female connectors.
• As seen in the pictures I use a piece of plywood as a washer on the inside of the bulkhead.  This is because the threaded rods are pretty close together for 7.6 inch diameter.  May not even need it with high enough infill, but it made me feel better with it there.

This means I have all of my 3+ inch rockets avionics bulkheads have the same spread between the threaded rods.  Which is why I have designed so many bulkheads…I have a lot of rockets.

PLA or PETG work just fine.
