HoneyComb fanduct for Turbo Fan (40x40x20) like add-on for E3DV6 hotend (ideally combined with BMG BondTech direct drive extruder).

  • I revised the model to a new version, Rev2_2024, the main changes are:
    • More accurate dimensions
    • It is lighter
    • Slots for M3 nuts
    • Groove for TurboFan cable
    • Slightly modified design
  • The Fanduct is mounted directly on the original V6 hotends Fan.
  • This settup is efficient enough, normally when printing, the fan speed is sufficient at 55%... the bridges, overhang and short layers at 65%.
  • Prints well, no big angles, no supports.

Print settings: 🖨⚙

  • Material: PLA, PETG
  • Layer height: 0.25
  • Wall count width: 3 perimeters (nozzle 0.4), 2 perimeters (nozzle 0.6)
  • Infill: 30%
  • Support: NO

Assembly: Is needed:

For attachment all fanduct on E3DV6 hotend:

  • 4x wood screw (3.0x20mm), 2mm longer than the original.

For Turbo Fan attach:

  • 3x M3 L20mm Screws (for example: flat countersunk head, Phillips PH1).
  • 3x M3 Nuts.

PLA temperature resistence: I've been using it for a long time, for example prints Bed 70°C, nozzle 230°C with no PLA deformations (It is cooled from the inside by a Part cooling fan).

Modeled in the program: SketchUp
Printer brand: DIY
