I made this router base for my Kress 1050-1 router.

It normally sits in my CNC machine, but it is just too

nice not to use for anything else.

It's a very accuate and powerful machine that fits in

one hand, so with this base you can convert it to

a trim/palm router.

The height is adjustable with 3 screws.

All screws in this desing are 10mm M5 machine screw and use

M5 inserts (search ebay for "M5 Steel Threaded Flat Insert")

There a two bottom half designs, one is completely round with

a diameter of 10cm, the other has an indent of 1cm (so distance

flat side to center is 4 cm) and has the option to screw on a

accessory.

I included an accessory block on which you can easily screw or

glue a flat piece of 6mm thick plywood to use as a circle jig.

The base clamps onto the router with a collarclamp. the neck of the Kress

has a diameter of 43mm, so you can use it on other routers if the diameter

is the same.

A list of routers/spindels with a 43mm neck diameter:

  • Kress 530-FM / 800-FME / 1050-FME / 1050-FME-1
  • Kress FM 6990 E / Kress FS 6901 E
  • AEG GS 500 E
  • AW-FSE 500 / 1050 / 1600
  • Bosch GGS 27C / GGS 28C / GGS 28LC /
  • Isel UFM 500 / UFM 1050
  • Makita GD0600 / GD0800C
  • Metabo FME 737

I printed it in ABS with 3 solid outlines and a infill of 35%
