My Q30 headphones, like every over-ear headphone I've had before them, broke after a mere four months of use. Fortunately, the headband has a spring steel structural piece, so I could still use them, but the broken plastic threw off the symmetrical fit. Plastic parts on headphones seem to be made to break. Well, I've got a 3d printer now, so I designed a fix.

This is a 2-part clip that will hold the two pieces of plastic on either side of the break against the metal band. It effectively fixes the break. Just clip the larger piece over the band from the outside, then slide the smaller piece in from below. Congratulations, you've just significantly extended the life of your headphones. You could even print these and put them in place before any breaks happen – something I wish I had done with the other side of my headphones, since it broke in the same place as the first side eight months later.
