This is a retention sheath for a full sized Kabar (1211 in my case). The sheath has two lugs that bend downward when inserting the knife into the sheath and spring up behind the cross guard, retaining the knife in the sheath. To remove the knife from the sheath, you can push downward on the lugs with your thumb while pulling on the knife.

After printing, the lugs will need to be filed down a bit. They're intentionally 1-2mm too high so that the sheath can be tuned to your desired tightness.

I printed the sheath on its side because it didn't require supports that way.

The CAD file is easy to tune if you have a 5" knife or your knife fits poorly. There are some variables at the top of the CAD file you can tune for these. The lugs were implemented in a bit of a janky way, so you'll need to know OpenSCAD to modify those.

Because this part is designed to bend, you'd probably be best off using PETG, but PLA seems to work well enough.

Sorry for the image quality. My phone has a lot of trouble taking pictures of black things.
