Recently picked up a Studio Display and wanted to add some height to to get it at eye level. I was looking at some of Apple’s previous products and found the Disk ][ and some photos of the monitor stand made for the Apple II, part number 815-0540 REV. A. Pulling from this as inspiration I designed this stand to support my Studio Display. **This will only work with the version of the Studio Display with tilt-adjustable stand.
I would highly recommend utilizing the recesses made for some 10mm non slip feet. I used EVA foam but will use silicone if I replace the foam as it compressed completely under the weight of the display.
Notes on printing:
This is not an easy print. It requires a good deal of print time and plastic. There is also a significant amount of support material needed so I recommend only printing if you have a means to recycle your waste plastic.
I used PLA your mileage may vary with other materials.
The included 3mf file contains the recommended print orientation, supports, and settings that I recommend.
If you do not use the 3mf, I recommend changing the number of vertical perimeters to 3 for added strength and 15 or 20% infill should be plenty.
