Print instructions

Update: 21 March 2020 Added a second smaller base that only takes about 9 hours to print. After getting everything assembled I realized that the base didn't need to be that big to be stable.

Printing the base takes about 13 hours, requires no supports or raft and can be printed directly on the print-bed.
The beholder-project.3mf is saved directly from PrusaSlicer. If you use the "Open Project" option it will import the model, the print settings, support settings, and the two support blockers (one under the tongue and one up top)
I used a 1' x 1/2" (304mm x 12.7mm) acrylic rod purchased from eBay
Printing the beholder takes almost 3 days and consumes 170 meters of filament.
It takes an insane amount of support to make this come out right, believe me I've tried all sorts of different support methods before I got to this one.
Removing the supports takes a couple of hours of careful work.
I recommend starting with the mouth.
