Razer Kiyo Pro mount for Rode SMR microphone stand

If you have a SMR mount on an arm already, adding a camera mount below it makes a lot of sense. You can talk and look at the microphone. You can position it close to the screen where you would be looking during a call so that the call is more natural. When not in use you can lower the camera down so that it is seeing nothing but the back of your monitor, for privacy. 

There is space at the front of the Rode SMR stand for this camera mount to attach securely without affecting the noise isolating properties of the mount. The only thing to be careful of is to use a right angled USB-C plug at the back of the camera, nothing should touch the microphone especially not at the plug or body, it means the noise isolation will not be working as it should. 

With the excellent Rode PSA1+ arm the extra weight of the camera seems not to affect it at all. If using another arm maybe adjust the tension so that it remains in place but the camera is a minuscule weight compared to most microphones, it shouldn't be hard to fix.

The mating piece should have a M3 threaded brass insert in the central hole. It drops into the top of the SMR mount at the front and the camera mount piece attaches from below. A long screwdriver will go through the bottom (camera mounting) hole to access a single M3 bolt to join the two pieces. A 12mm works well.

The camera fits inside the mount piece and is fastened with a standard camera mount screw.
