This is my take on a replacement pop bumper cap for my Gottlieb Monte Carlo pinball machine. The original caps (photo 3) were broken and not staying fastened to to the bumper plus I didn't care for the artwork on them.
I originally printed the caps all in PLA but upon installing and removing (for light bulb change) the fastening tabs would break off.
So I created the flex ring that I print from TPU (ninja flex) that allows the caps to be removable without breaking.
In Prusaslicer I added the flex ring to the pop bumper as an Add Part. I then selected the second layer of the flex ring to add coustom gcode to do a filament, temp and speed change. The Z-axis offset I changed manually after the print resumed.
This was my first time printing with two different filaments in the same model, but it worked out pretty well.
I have matching LED colored bulbs under each cap. I then added some plastic school folder sleeves cut out on our Cricut and glued them to the underside of the cap to defuse the light and make them glow more.
