My intent was pretty straight forward: create a Simple Filament Swatch holder that would accommodate the original swatches in a horizontal position.
I printed with both PLA and PETG with good results. External perimeters printed first can help improve dimensional accuracy but this is not absolutely necessary.
Layer Height: 0.2mm
Perimeter: 2
Infill: 15% Grid
Top/Bottom Layer: 4 or 5
1 ¼" x 2 ¼" label. I printed using a Dymo LabelWriter 450 Turbo Twin. It will work with any similar label printer as long as it will accommodate the appropriate label size.
Below is a link to download a template I created. I was not able to add this file type within this page so if you have any issues please message me.
I used the filament website URL for the information to create the QR code. You may have something else or other information you find helpful. I used a free online QR Code Generator to help with this process.
I placed my labels on the back of the filament swatch as I did not want to interfere with the aesthetics of the front. With the label in this position, I needed to create additional depth of each Holder slot as the unmodified version was too tight.
Since I remixed this off of fortinmike Compact Filament Swatch Holder, I utilized the same attributions he did. Although, he remixed his off of Jens Willmer Simple Filament Swatch with a Public Domain License, so...
