A modification of the Travel Crkbd magnetic case to fit my wireless corne.

I have the battery under the PCB instead of sandwiched between the microcontroller and the PCB.  I also have a little power switch and am using 6mm hex standoffs instead of 4mm.

Changes were made directly in PrusaSlicer with parts and negative volumes.  The void for the foot pads under the battery cutout is only 3 layers thick but is fine for me.

The top plate sits about 1mm above the top of the case, whereas in the original model it sits flush.

List of changes:

  • Created a thin cutout to accommodate a battery (a 3.7v, 110mAh 301230) under the PCB.
  • Moved the magnet socket under the microcontroller to make room for the battery cutout.
  • Created a cutout for the power switch.
  • Modified the studs to accept hex standoffs at 6mm length, 3mm flat to flat “diameter”.

The standoffs should press fit, but I put in some glue to make sure they stay in place.  I suggest to push in the standoff and glue around it to avoid getting glue into the threads.  If you're going to use CA glue, let it fully dry before mounting the board.  The vapors kind of impacted the appearance of my PCB.
