This three-axis gimbal allows you to mount a Raspberry Pi Zero or Zero W and two types of camera boards, provides three axes of adjustment and stands on its base or the base can be mounted to a wall.

Hardware needed:

  • 3x M3 nuts
  • 1x M3x10mm screw for the PCB support plate
  • 2x M3x12mm screws for the other two axes (because they are thicker)
  • (Optional) ¼-inch x 20 (¼-20) nut for base
  • (Optional) #6 or #8 drywall screws

I cut some foam rubber non-slip drawer liner mat to fit between the joints. This creates a friction fit which allows the three axes to be adjusted but also stay in place over time.

I am using two different camera modules with this mount. The plate supporting the Raspberry Pi also has holes for accepting both of these camera modules.

Finally, there are some brackets on the edge of the PCB support plate for future cover designs.
