Had a few guns break off on the front (due to a 2 year old being a 2 year old). He loves playing with the "spaceship" though!

Had a bit of trouble with the engine piece but overall a decent print. Will try to get a photo when I have a chance.
Nice model! Had some imperfections in the print, but don't really mind. I would really like to fill the gunbays, anybody have a model for that?
Why are the gun ports open? Is there a PDC model which should be glued in? Thanks.
fabulous! But where do the other antenna sets go? I only see the front ones.
A beautiful and very detailed model.
I printed mine at ~54% size to achieve a 1:270 scale and you can still make out all the details.
The lower layers of the midengine section and the antennas are tricky. My print failed several times at this point. I could get around this issue by reducing the speed to 50% for the lower layers.
There are two very minor problems I have with this model.
The first is that the PDC-bays are open, but empty. This looks a bit weird.
The second is with the hexagonal connector between the midengine and nose section. It is a bit longer then the eight other pieces that stick out from the midengine section, meaning that those can not sit directly on the printbed, but float a couple of layers above it. It is also symmetrical, so that it is possible to install the nose the wrong way around. I would recommend making the connector a bit shorter and five- or seven-sided.
Hey Frankincell, I just started your gcode tonight... I'll report back on Sunday night!
My prints failed 3 times... first two failures were due to poor adhesion of the antennas, the third failures was the perimeter of the base that got pushed across the bed and collided with the aft hull. I'll try to tweak the build order (maybe 1 assembly at a time).
Hey! Absolutely love the model. Thank you for sharing. This is quite possibly the best model on the internet!
1 question: would you mind providing a version without the stand? The stand is a bit busy looking for me, and I would rather save the time and just print the ship. But I only have Cura and no experience with customizing supports... I don’t want to end up with supports everywhere that are hard to remove. Your gcode looks great.. if you could make a version sans stand, that would be awesome!
Btw, I have a creality Ender 3 pro I hope it’ll work for this...
Sorry, I didn't see your message until now. I don't have an Ender 3 pro, so I would trust any gcode that I generated and didn't test. The individual ship parts should print without support, so just disable it in your slicer.
Those came out great!
Can you provide the print settings, orientation and support settings you used for this?
Oh, just so you don't have to wait till I get this updated.. I printed these at 0.10mm layer height with a 0.25mm nozzle. I printed the whole ship at once and it took 6 days.. I don't recommend doing it that way. Use a support enforcer for the bottom 5mm of the Mid-Engine section. No other supports should be needed.
Re-uploaded the models individually and as a group with gcode to print them with a 0.4mm nozzle in about 3 days.
