removed the “lip” at the bottom of the Knob Gear so it's easier to assemble
increased the size of the hole in the Knob Gear (the orignal one didn't fit the encoder)
increased the size of the hole in the Planet Gears from 3 to 4 mm
changed the profile of Planet Gears a bit, so they fit together with more clearance
added a base that utilises the M8 thread on the rotary encoder
changed the text form “prusa” to “ 3x faster” to make it look “universal” and mark which knob is meant for fast scrolling
Only modification that you'll need to do to your LCD enclousure is to enlarge the hole to 12mm (I recommend to make it a bit bigger), so the base can screw onto the encoder.
The pins in the Base for Planet Gears have small holes through them, because I found that it helps to maintain the right dimensions on small details like that. You can put in them some filament and a CA glue to cover the holes and strenghten the pins.
Assembly:
Screw the Base onto the encoder
Put on the pair of Planet Gears (flat side facing the base)
Put on the Outer Knob and while holding it centered on the gears insert the Knob Gear onto the encoder
Done! Now you can quickly scroll using the big knob and do fine adjustments with the smaller one!
