While Caliper measure diameter - with this tool you can directly measure the radius without any additional calculation as you need for other radius gauges.

The value you read is the radius!

you can use a caliper(16mm) or a meterstick (16.2mm) or for rough estimates a 5mm scale is on the device arms.

If it doesn't fit you can just scale this (the 5mm scale on the device can't be used then)

-works on circles where over >120\u00b0 of the circle could be measured (60\u00b0 corner) - doesn't work on 90\u00b0 corner radius.

right and obtuse angles

For 90\u00b0 or obtuse angles (up to 130\u00b0 corner) use the 3\u00d7 or for larger diameter the \u00d710 variant (due to precision these are only for caliper)
