This is an expansion-based plug that fits in the bottom of your 1-1/8" STRAIGHT steerer (not tapered; I don't own a tapered steerer fork, so I don't know the dimensions). It provides a cable GUIDE (not a stop) to route shift cable housing on its way from the handlebar remote to the lockout switch.

I will be uploading a switch/cap & crown-mounted cable stop separately.

6 May 17: I have no idea if this works yet. Print at your own risk. I'll test it to see if it fits at some point.

How I Designed This

I was inspired by AlsHub's part on Shapeways: https://www.shapeways.com/product/D4HB2EJNT/lockout-1-1-8

Plus this thread: http://forums.mtbr.com/shocks-suspension/remote-lockout-fox-rl-382180-6.html

I wanted to make a cleaner version that wouldn't require drilling through your existing switch.

The inner diameter of a 1-1/8" steerer is 1", based on my research.

13 May 17: I didn't even check my steerer, which is actually 20.95 mm ID. So a new version has been uploaded, with 20.95 appended to the file name.

Assembly

You'll need a M6 x 35 mm bolt. It needs to be at least 35 mm long, if not longer.

You'll need an M6 nut too.

Insert the nut into the plug, & make sure to insert this into the spines correctly. There's a slight draft angle that's used to expand the spines outward to fit into your steerer.

Insert the assembly into your steerer, & tighten the bolt.
