Customizable WIFI QR-Code Display

Frame to display a QR code containing your (guest) wifi credentials. On the front it shows the letters "WIFI" and when you flip the panels it shows the QR code.

Hints

• I printed a brim for the frame and the lids to prevent warping. You don't need rafts for the other components. Support is only needed for the rack gear to support the grip - you can cut it off easily afterwards.
• glue the front and back panels together - important:
  • combine front panel 1 with back panel 1, 2 with 2 and so on
  • this way the QR code will be shown mixed up from the back but will be displayed correctly when the panels are flipped
• sand the lower panel pins, so that the panels turn smoothly
• sand the rack gear grip to get rid of the remaining support and enable for a smooth movement
• the rack gear grip is not exactly in the middle of the rack gear - if it does not fit when closing the upper lid or you're not able to turn around the panels completely - turn it around
• when you close the upper lid make sure that
  • the rack gear is shift to the left side (from the back)
  • the panels are completely flat
  • the text "WIFI" is shown on the front
• you can re-open the upper lid any time you want to re-adjust or replace parts
• the lower lid covers a cavity you can fill with sand or concrete to give the frame some weight
• glue the lower lid to the frame to close the cavity

Custom QR code

I included a template for the back panels, so that you can add your own QR code which you can generate here. To add your own QR code edit the back panel template as follows (details depend on the software you use):

• open the STL 
• add QR code as SVG (be careful to choose the correct side - rounded pin corners = front) 
• extract the QR code 0.4 mm (2 layers) 
• cut the panel template in 7 separate panels (16.565 mm width each) 
• save the separate panels with your QR code as STLs
