This model is a remix from two other designs. I found the best spool holder mount for the Creator Pro 2.  Thanks ItsDeCia!  And mixed it with the Voron Design spool holder.  Thanks Voron Design!  I have been using “the better and simpler spool holder” (Thanks Pckr!) on my Ender 3 V2 and CR-10 V3 and really like the use of the PTFE tube as the bearing, it keeps the spools quiet as they rotate and does not let the spool unwind, like a bearing spool holder I tried.

With cardboard spools now being the norm, the amount of squealing coming from my Creator Pro 2 while printing (especially overnight) was getting on my nerves.  I thought why hasn't someone incorporated the Voron Design spool holder onto a mount that will work with the FlashForge Creator Pro 2?

They work great for me and I wanted to share.

What and how to Print and assemble

  1. Download the FlashForge Creator Pro 2 Spool Holder.stl
  2. Material Used - Overture PLA+
  3. Slicer Used - FlashPrint
  4. Rotate Model 90° on Y so that it lays flat on the bottom edge of the spool holder.
  5. Print setting, I used the Default Settings in FlashPrint except.
    1. Infill: 30%,
    2. No Rafts
    3. Supports - Touch Platform Only, 75% overhang
  6. Place a piece of 3mm (OD) PTFE in the holes of the holder to act as a bearing.
