I like Martin_au's “USSR spool holders" but I found it was too large for the sample spools I'm using (https://www.printables.com/model/361483).
So I remixed it, to make it shorter and more narrow. It now works great with the sample spools. At the same time, it still works great with all standard 1 kg spools I've tried.
I also include a version (small-base-wide) with the same width as the original, for use with the original rollers.
UPDATE 09-11-22: Fixed an imperfection in the base of the narrow version. (Had accidentally uploaded the wrong version). Also added 3mf files, for 0.6mm nozzle.
To quote Martin_au:
This needs 4 x 608 bearings and..........that's it.
Print a base and two rollers. Slide the bearings into the rollers and place the rollers into the base. Don't print the base out of a brittle plastic. It needs to flex a little bit to get the rollers in. Most plastics should be fine.
Use supports on the base. There will be just 4 tiny support posts to support the bearing holders.
