W124 Hood Latch Pad

This part is used on the upper front cross member on a W124 chassis Mercedes-Benz as a pad for the hood latch. When the hood is being closed, the release latch slides across this pad before locking in. From factory this part comes with the rivet integrated, but it has a tendency to always break off when removed, therefore a 3-in-1 in my re-design.

Tested on a real car, works a treat!

Recommended materials:

* PETG/ABS/Nylon for the pad and locking pin * Flex for the rivet (it might not fit if printed from rigid plastic)

Recommended infill:

= 30% for the pad, cubic recommended

• solid for both the rivet and pin

Recommended position:

• rivet and pin - top-down
• pad - along side edge (may need a brim on some printers)

No supports are required for either part.
