I designed this end-cap after waking up to a spool of filament on the floor that had popped over the lip of the holder mid-print. Lucky for me the job still printed but it could've been a lot worse.

I designed this in Tinkercad. This is specifically for the stock spool holder on the ender 3 pro, but likely fits others or can be easily adapted. It takes a small amount of pressure to pop the clips over the lip then fits snuggly into place. To remove it, just push in on the center area and pull back on the clip sides to gently bend them out. It should fit through all standard filament spools (diameter = 50mm), so you shouldn't need to remove it much once installed.

I added a v2 with the only difference being the two spokes opposite the clips are more arrow-esque to indicate UP/DOWN direction to avoid the clips being on the top so spools don't jump them.

I'd recommend printing in PETG if you can just for toughness but it's not required. Standard settings are fine. 0.2mm height, whatever speed you feel comfortable with, no raft/brim/supports needed.
