Less noticeable than an over the belt clip. Better support than a J-clip.

Three lengths included. I like the shorter ones for subcompacts.

Fits 1.5 inch belt.

And after a few iterations and several months testing we have – Version 2!

V2 changes (7-16-2023):

  • Added an offset from the mounting screw hole(s) to the over-the-pant riser. Makes tucking a shirt easier and/or clears the screw heads above the mounting screw. Unlike adding a spacer, longer screws are not needed.
  • Reduced the width for the belt a bit. Fits with a little less clearance so stays in place better.
  • Widened the over-the-pant gap very slightly to accommodate denim pants with double hemmed or reinforced tops (popular on carpenter-style jeans).
  • Replaced some of the rounds with chamfers or truncated rounds to print more cleanly.
  • Added a one hole clip by popular demand. (Well, it was popular when I demanded it….)

Old version 1 clips are still available for download, too.

Print Settings

Printer:

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

Supports:

No

Infill:

99-100% Concentric

Filament:

Hatchbox/Overture PETG

Black

Notes:

For maximum strength print on its side, with the points of the holes up. The holes will print cleanly without any supports.

I usually print PETG with a raft but also had successful prints in PLA without one.

PLA works but I like PETG for the temperature resistance in case it ends up in a hot car or trunk.

How I Designed This

Reverse engineered a Crossbreed J-clip, Added a top retainer, narrowed up the over the pant clearance, and optimized for FDM printing.
