General
I wanted to create another cover for the Anycubic Kobra that isn't print in place like my previous model - https://www.printables.com/model/175558-cover-for-anycubic-kobra
So decided to rework it a little bit with a 2 part print (door and casing).
Improvements
- Door and case printed separately.
- The casing should go in deeper into the LCD screen
- The hinge now uses a ball joint style
- The door should now close completely instead of leaving a 10-15 degree opening
Print Information
- You can print the case in a bigger nozzle size to print faster (I printed with 0.8mm)
- I recommend printing the door with a 0.4mm (or lower but it might take awhile) to get the details
- I recommend using supports
- I recommend using a Brim to keep it from flexing off the heatbed (don't want a flex door now)
Misc
- Make sure to clean out the socket after print (stringing/oozing) to get a nice fit of the ball joint
- You'll have to apply a bit of pressure to get the door attached and once you get it in there, it's almost impossible to take out
- Make sure to trim/clean off the brim completely or your door might not close nicely
