When I built a deck, I found that it attracted a lot of carpenter bees looking to bore into the freshly cut wood and lay their eggs. I don't mind them being around, but I didn't want my deck damaged. So, I designed this Bee Inn to encourage them to lay their eggs there instead of my deck. They seem to want to take the easy route and find an existing hole rather than having to make a new hole.

The Bee Inn has a total of 50 rooms ranging in size from 2mm to 12mm.

I printed using wood filament and a 0.6mm nozzle. No supports needed. 15% infill. I ended up with some imperfections of the surface that I sealed up with some wood glue. The wood glue should also help make it a bit more resistant to rain.

Hope you enjoy!

Please let me know what you think and upload some images of bees making their homes in the Bee Inn. Thanks!!!
