Mostly just having some fun with this print (although I do have some ideas for using this down the road). There are only two pieces to this: the talon and the stand (the ball is not included, but there are plenty of other options for that available at the usual places). The claw has a plug at the bottom end for mounting in a socket in the stand.

See Version 1 for a print file for the stand.

Here are some dimensions you may find useful:

The claw is made for a ball with a diameter of 2.5 in. (63.5 mm). The plug has a diameter of 0.45 in. (11.43 mm) and a length of 0.45 in. (11.43 mm); the plug also has a 1 degree taper to make it easier to fit it into the socket hole.

I plan to make this model will be made in several different variations; this is version 2.

Version 2 : Talons are rounded, and the claws extend above the center of the ball (this can make it a bit difficult to insert or remove the ball). The difference from the first version is that the "finger pads" on the talons are flattened, so the ball sits snuggly in the grip.

The original model was created in OnShape 3D CAD - the relevant CAD file is available here:

Print instructions

Print with a brim and supports; I have had success with "Support on build plate only" - if the "Everywhere" option is chosen the claws may be difficult to remove from the supports without breaking.

It may be possible to print with no supports, but I have not tried this. Another option might be custom supports.

An issue that needs to be addressed is the small contact area on the plate - when I tried printing with supports and no brim the print broke free from the bed.
