One of our cats likes to stay outside during the night but as we live in Finland it is sometimes quite cold. So I decided to build a small cabin and needed a door that wouldn't let too much cold air inside.
I made room for some leftover selfadhesive insulation around the bottom and sides. As well as indents for magnets to keep it in place in windy conditions to let as little cold air inside as possible.
The hinge is made up of 2 M3x20mm bolts and the magnets are 10x3mm round ones.
The frames are click-in-place and the inner one are just an extension to shield the 20mm insulation as the cat moves in and out of the box.
I've done some sanding on the door itself to get a better fit as the insulation may have been a bit too tight and wouldn't let the door close satisfingly easy.
