JWST - james webb space telescope Scale 1:100

This telescope proves that cooperation is the most powerful ability of mankind. Since I am so grateful that this wonderful telescope was built and works, I am posting the model here for free download.

Scale 1:100

The model must be assembled

However, it needs additional material:

Extra strong kitchen aluminum foil.

Nylon cord (fishing line).

Self-adhesive gold-colored mirror foil (main mirror).

Modeling plastic glue.

All the material can be found in any construction and hobby store around the corner.

The details of assembly can be found in the instructions in the appendix.

The assembly is a lot of fun, but takes about 4h.

Notes:

Use PLA with good Layer adhesion
Basically, I recommend setting up the printer to achieve the highest print quality. More details in the instruction in the appendix.

All sizes and STL's have been designed in millimeters!

The foil cutting stencils must be printed on A4 paper size. The foil stencils are adjusted exactly to the uploaded model size. If you scale the model smaller or larger, the cutting templates must be adjusted accordingly. 

i have uploaded an additional stencil set if someone wants to enlarge the model to 1:60. But then all parts must be enlarged to 166.667% before printing(e.g. in the Prusaslicer).

Foil 6 is not absolutely necessary. If the centre hole was not cut out properly or is torn, it can be repaired with this foil.

For all of you who have a foil plotter I have attached a .dxf file for the foil for the main mirror.

I have newly divided the components by color. Only the files must be 3d printed where the color - e.g. BLACK_main mirror - is specified!!!
