One improvement that could be made is adding prusa-style stepped holes instead of printing the holes mid air.
besides that, it works okay. I already know I'll get tired of the hex nuts falling out, so I've made a remix with threaded inserts and cut-outs to put the filament into while not in the printer. Will post said remix when it finishes printing
@SanderG Thanks! Nice work. Depending on the nuts you get the *might* not fall out. I have some here that are big enough they friction fit in the holes and surprisingly have never come out.

Printed in some old and wet PETG but still came out nice! Very easy to print, fast too and fits the eSUN refilament spools perfectly snug.
Great balance between weight/plastic saving and strength with the correct hexagon density.
