As a gift for my gf's birthday I decided to make another jewelry holder. This one's supposed to look like a tree (the pineapple hangers are another gift which I'm going to upload in foreseeable future).
I made the tree with blenders tree generator which is unsuitable for 3d-printing due to mesh-intersections and open holes everywhere. After a few hours of fixing everything manually it's at least printable with cura 3.6 but still mesh quality is rather bad.
Prepare to print it with a worrisome amount of support; obviously "tree-support" (it's made to support trees) works best.
edit: I fixed a few mesh errors and split the thing up in 2 parts. This way it's much better printable without using tons of fancy support. Still uses a lot though.

Supports:
Yes
Resolution:
0,2 mm
Infill:
30%
Filament: Extrudr Green-tec pro black
Notes:
I printed it with rather expensive green-tech pro because it has the best overhang performance for me, support removal is rather easy (if you print support in a much faster speed than the rest) and it just looks delightful with a matte surface.
As I noticed above: use tree support. Category: FashionThe author marked this model as their own original creation. Imported from Thingiverse.
