I needed a door stop for an old, interior door. It replaces a wall-mounted rubber-ended spring that broke. So, I wanted this to be springy so it won't marr-up the base-boards. This was my solution. It uses a tensioned “jaw” to firmly hold to the bottom of the door. The tension is maintained by the jaw angling in some 4 degrees into the door and some radiused corners to avoid stress fracturing in the part. Printed in PETG to avoid PLA's deformation creep, I've had this in service for over 2 years (going strong!) and its met all of my objectives:
My door is 34mm thick. Yours may differ, so, I'm including the STEP file so you can tweak to your needs. Enjoy!
