A simple princess palace desk for my Granddaughter.

All the 3d printed parts are in PLA  resolution 0.2mm I done most of it with 30% infil but could probably go lower.

The window diffusers are in a transparent PLA filament with a low infil (around 10-15%) to allow the LED lights to show through.

Printing the textured items (rooves and walls) so the texture is facing up, you will need supports , wall needs support everywhere.

The windows are easy enough no supports just print recessed side facing up.

Drawer I posted 2 drawer knobs , I realised not everyone has a name beginning with M, so I uploaded an additional blank knob, this is best printed with the heart facing up with supports touching build plate.

The drawer and front prints easy enough no supports, although I increased the infil to 40%.  , I pushed a machine screw through the drawer applied superglue to both the drawer and front then screwed the knob onto the said screw.

Doors print texture facing up , no support necessary.

The clock face can be done two ways if you want to just print all one colour just sharpy the numbers in post print, or pause at height and change filament to desired colour.

The large doors on the base of the desktop open to reveal a mirror.

The hinges fixed to the door are fixed with screws and nuts m3 x10mm.

I used binding post screws for the hinge pins.

The door knobs are fixed with a single self tapper on each.

The hinge plate has locating pin  which fits into the door frame , apply a bit of glue and pop it in.

The weather vane is simply fixed to the back of the tower with 2 wood screws.

The pillars i cut from an 18mm wood dowel and wrapped a marble effect vinyl around it. The upper and lower pillars are fixed with m3.5x10mm wood screws

The clock is functional , I purchased a clock module from amazon (now showing as unavailable), it needs a long shaft as it needs to get through the MDF as well as the clock.

The woodwork is a simple table structure with a couple of curves cut out, the drawer is 3d printed, nothing fancy , I made a shelf with mdf to house the drawer.

The flat surfaces are 18mm mdf. The legs and framework are timber 50x50mm and 50x75mm.

I cut a simple castle shape for the back, cut out the windows and doors, then fixed it to the table/desk with woodscrews and glue.

3d printed parts are glued on , i used super glue which seemed to work best for me.

The lights are the typical rgb led light strips with a remote, I stuck them on the backside of the windows on the inner part of the arch, it all seems to work quite well.

I included a mirror clip in the 3d models, this holds the mirror in each corner on the back .

I would include the plans for the desk , but I worked on this on the fly with some leftover wood I had, but the design is simple enough.

If you decide to do a make , or improve on what Ive done please let me know.

Hope this helps another deserving little princess.

Happy making.
