For the original design I liked the compact size and how it is inline for making it a part of a vacuum (Genius), but wanted the CAD files so rebuilt it as best I could. Tried to simplify the geometry and maximize areas while thickening the walls for printing with my larger nozzle. I will add my connectors as I make them to fit my shop vacuum and my MPCNC internal "car" vacuum that is built inside the CNC for noise reduction.

I did try to clock the inlet side a bit more so that the hose to cyclone transition is more open. Don’t know if that will hurt or help, but was trying to minimize the kink in that section. Causes a thin section when I maximized it but... I wouldn't worry about that little guy.

Will updated when I use it to see performance. I imagine its similar to the performance of the original.

UPDATE V2: I already modified the inlet since the support was pretty trapped with old C shape. Use a very light easy to remove support shape for the upper section. The bottom I forgot the spot face on the attachments so if you printed original bottom just print the hack spacers. ^^

Update V3 (Bigger): The collector was necking down too much in the cyclone center so I over-sized it. Still experimental, but expecting it to help with flow based on area sections.

Be warned FreeCAD really did not like me hitting perfect tangent on cylinders transitioning to lofts. That is why there are 0.5mm sliver surfaces around and why the inlet splits through the fillets of the chamber. If you are in a sketch and wonder why he just didn't set a dimension to perfectly line up with another area that is probably the reason. Save early and save often as you edit.^^ Also the helix wouldn't really link to the inlet so you have to update the helix then rebuild the sweep(Additive Pipe) and then rebuild the cuts (Boolean operations) if you want to modify the inlet shape. Full disclosure its a hack job, and I probably am mis-using the FreeCAD. ^^

Remember these cyclonic filters still need a filter since the very fine particulates makes it through. I plan on having this with a typical vacuum cleaner so its just improving the life of my filter bag.
