This is a side mount for the FLSUN QQ-S/ Pro extruder. This moves the extruder closer to the bed, allowing the bowden tube to be shortened, and improving (reducing) retraction.
With this mod the bowden tube is roughly half as long, and I have been able to reduce my retraction to 3.5mm.
This mount clamps on the sheet metal corner (using four M3 screws and nuts) and will not scar or scratch the finish should the extruder position need to be changed.
It also allows the extruder to be positioned on one of the front corners for easy access when changing filament.
REVISION 1
Revised the inside part for a tighter fit. No more slipping.
the outside part with the motor mount is unchanged.
Uploading separate STLs for each part.
I placed the M3 nuts on the end of a long M3 screw and heated for 4-5 seconds with a small torch. This allowed the nut to be press-fit in place in the inside part.
