Flat bottom bowls sit flat, but the inside corner is hard to clean. Spherical bowls are pretty and easy to clean, but you can't put them down. This bowl is a sphere on the inside, and is flat (conical section with 45 degree sloping sides) on the outside. Best of both worlds.
Print out of PLA. Eat, knowing that you're using geometry and helping the planet at the same time.
If you print out of ABS, use the bowl for holding non-food stuff, since ABS isn't food safe.
If you want to generate different sized bowls, this OpenSCAD script will generate any sized bowl, with two parameters:
rd = the diameter of the rim of the bowl, in mm. I used 144, to fit onto most 3D printers.
t = the thickness of the bowl at the bottom, in mm. I used 2.
