Description

PDF

Chrom's Falchion from Fire Emblem Awakening, modeled in Solidworks. Made to as accurate as possible. All one piece, intended for figurine scale/ keychain design, but can be scaled to any size. Will post multipart piece if requested additionally. Feel free to Lmk if you guys made your own as well, would like to know if anyone has found ideal settings for the piece :). Thanks a lot!

Update: Due to requests the sliced model is finally here! It is compatible with Ender 3 and larger 3d printers and will print in 5 different pieces with 4 support pieces.

Issue Fixed: Good files are now up!

Assembly of parts is pictured in the above diagram

For printing all of parts should already be positioned properly in the 3mf files but feel free to adjust them however you like.

  • The components of the sword probably print the best vertically
  • And the components of the pegs would support the structure best being printed on the side as to not promote breaking along layer lines for the final assembly
  • Also printing pegs in a higher infill or stronger material such as ABS/ASA/ PETG would create a stronger part compared to PLA if you are planning on heavier usage in a cosplay setting

-Note that the bottom&top blade peg is slightly smaller than the top blade& blade tip peg

Regarding assembly it is pretty straightforward with the pegs slotting through the sword parts and I would assume you'd use superglue or some similar adhesive.

Hope you guys enjoy! Would love to see posted makes as well!

I have not yet printed this assembly, but I would assume with either multi- material printers, or sanding/ traditional finishing the final product should be fairly easy to customize to your needs

How I Designed This

Had a lot of fun with this, took around 6-7 hrs total, but definitely made for an interesting and challenging part
