Replacement bracket for the Adimlab printer Y stepper motor. The factory bracket is thin and tends to bend easily. Some folks have even had the mount crack.

Use one of the holes on the top side in one of the original spots to put the bracket in the factory original position on the 2020 extrusion. Then use 2-3 screws and extrusion nuts to secure it.

Will need longer scews to mount the motor and the Y-axis stop switch. I think M3 x 12mm or will be needed.

NOTE: The "Beefy" version doesn't work well with a regular damper. Either don't use one or use a thin material like TPU or gasket making material.

UPDATE 2/28/19: Made some edits to the "Beefy" version and ran it through Netfabb.

UPDATE 2/3/19: By request of an Adimlab Facebook Group member I have added an extra "Beefy" version.

UPDATE 12/2/18: Changed the thickness of the bracket and the triangular brace to 6mm thick. Mine is warping a little bit. Maybe I have my Y tensioner too tight? LOL Now on version 4.

UPDATE 10/13/18: Deleted the original STL and uploaded v3 STL of the model. Also modified to give more clearance for the switch.

UPDATE 10/12/18: I made some minor changes to the model and installed this bracket on my machine! I used m3x8 screws for the stepper and switch, but I think m3x10 will work a little better with the stepper. I will post the final version after I clean up the mesh some. It will be version 3.

Print Settings

Printer:

ADIMLab

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

.2

Infill:

50%

Filament: Hatchbox PLA

Notes:

Need support to print the box section, rest of model needs no support. Suggest Infill 35% or greater. I used 50%. I used PLA, but ABS or PETG should also work very well.
