Highly detailed model of an Assault Phaser from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

11 joints are needed to attach the pieces and 4 rivets for the slide.

I reprinted the muzzle in silky pla (in the first photos it is normal pla). It has to be vertical so the layers are perpendicular to the z axis, in this way the silky pla looks like polished metal. You also need supports and with such small grooves ...they are really quite difficult to remove.

The way to assemble everything is:

• glue grip_left and grip_right.
• glue heatsink1 and heatsink2.
• sand, prime and paint all the pieces (repeat as necessary).
• glue the rivets to the slide and apply a final coat of paint.
• glue the controls to the back and apply a final coat of paint..
• glue the pilot to the back.
• glue the muzzle, the interior, the heatsink and the logo to the grip.
• glue the slide to the grip.
• and finally, insert and glue the back.
