Did a repaint on a truck that I bought to move beehives around. With all the trim and other detail pieces off, I thought it was a perfect opportunity for a little extra customization.
The font, as it turns out, doesn't exist anywhere. Fortunately, the system was easy enough to decipher as its simply a series of straight lines and 90 degree angles that are either curved or square in an intuitive manner. Tedious use of the calipers produced a very close facsimile.
I made a mask to paint the top level lettering in chrome. But I also have some silk pla on the way to try to print as a two color print.
For mounting, spaces are built in for a pair of print-in-place lock nuts that line up with the mounting holes on the truck. I made some custom slip in body plugs. Screw in a 20mm M3 Screw from the narrow end and then screw that assembly into the badge. I am using some foam tape around the perimeter of the badge to provide some back pressure and hold the badge firmly in place. As an alternative, I am going to try snipping the cap off a 5mm body plug and using that in place of my print. The version I will be trying is found in this kit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XKV7JHJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
