As I got a new toy for my mini milling machine I needed some claws to attach the vise to the table. No chunk of steel large enough was in stock and as PLA printed in the correct orientation is about as strong as aluminum I opted for the lazy solution: let the printer do the work....

As I am a fan of having tools present where they are required I also printed a handle for a 5mm hex-key. It is a shortened version of my handle design to just fit around.

Printed in PLA with 0.3mm adaptive layers and coarse support from bed only. Infill 25% cubic with dual lines.

If you also have a vise with 8mm holes and 10mm slot which is 10mm up as well as 8mm table slots this will fit.

2022-04-20: as I have another toy where the same claws as for the vise fit I designed a strengthened version. It is sliced with 0.3mm and adaptive layers and 25% cubic infill with double lines. Please note that I used a trick to get an inner wall to increase the strength even further. It is a 0.05mm cut and Cura makes that wall with the above settings. As it is that close the layers fuse well together.

2022-04-21: sorry, accidentally uploaded the files with logo on the beefier parts……
